FAQ
We Are Changemakers is a network organisation run by fellows. The startup visa support is developed by fellows and offered by the Dutch foundation Dutch Mentor Community.
We get a lot of requests for startup visa support. Here is a practical FAQ to help you understand how we work on this at We Are Changemakers.
When can I start?
Anytime. Our startup visa support programme offers Do-IT-Yourself courses, mentoring and a selection of online events throughout each month.
Why do you reject a request for a startup facilitatorship?
We focus on early-stage companies. We stick to social & impact-driven. We don’t mind where you are from as long as you have a chance to succeed in The Netherlands and are likely to fit the criteria of the Dutch government.
Do your fees cover all the costs?
We provide support and are the intermediary between you and RVO. We don’t charge a fee for the actual application. Some people prefer to do that with the assistance of an expert. The Dutch Government asks for registration fees. And, of course, the major part of this investment in your company is the actual costs of travel, accommodations and living in The Netherlands.
Why don’t you give us a declaration of facilitation if we pay for it?
We want to be proud of every application to the Dutch Government. It should make sense right? So that’s why we only share a declaration of facilitation with a team that we trust will create the desired impact. We want to make sure you deliver a feasible, innovative and impactful plan.
Which support programme can I join to start my application?
You can combine your startup visa support application with a 12-month Basecamp programme. Here you can learn more about this programme.
